Based on Manon's suggestions, here's a revised version of the proposed
change, to be voted on by BSC members on Monday.

The only changes from Monday's version are the addition of the missing
words "after it" and the addition of 1E5 to the list of examples of
exceptional rules in 0F1.2. If there's any more discussion, let it
happen....

Here are the relevant sections in html, with old text crossed out and
new text underlined (plain text version follows). The example comes from
the DCRM(G) draft.

1E5. . . . Optionally, if the responsible persons or bodies named in a
single statement are considered too numerous to list exhaustively, all
after the third may be omitted. Indicate the omission by the mark of
omission and supply "et al." after it in square brackets a phrase in the
language and script of the cataloging agency to convey the extent of the
omission.

/ idee e motti di Giannino Antona-Traversi ; disegni di G. Ardy, A.
Bonzagni, A. Cagnoni ... [and 7 others] ; sculture di V. Franco

0F1.2. Give interpolations into these areas in the language and script
of the other information in the area, except for prescribed
interpolations and other cases specified in these rules (e.g., 1E5, 4B5,
4B6.2, 4C6.2). . . .

Below is the original text followed by the proposed change for anyone
with plain-text e-mail who can't see the crossings-out and underlinings:

ORIGINAL:

1E5. . . . Optionally, if the responsible persons or bodies named in a
single statement are considered too numerous to list exhaustively, all
after the third may be omitted. Indicate the omission by the mark of
omission and supply "et al." in square brackets.

0F1.2. Give interpolations into these areas in the language and script
of the other information in the area, except for prescribed
interpolations and other cases specified in these rules (e.g., 4B5,
4B6.2, 4C6.2). . . .

PROPOSED CHANGE:

1E5. . . . Optionally, if the responsible persons or bodies named in a
single statement are considered too numerous to list exhaustively, all
after the third may be omitted. Indicate the omission by the mark of
omission and supply after it in square brackets a phrase in the language
and script of the cataloging agency to convey the extent of the
omission.

0F1.2. [add 1E5 to parenthetical examples of exceptions]

Thanks,

   EB.
