Dear Colleagues,

Here a request from a colleague (see below) who is trying to verify every copy of ESTC R13349 (http://estc.bl.uk/R13349) and ESTC R21971 (http://estc.bl.uk/R21971) (in case you haven't seen this, yet, and are able to help; there seem to be quite a few copies in North America).

Please, contact Renae directly.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Iris O'Brien

Subject: Census: Cabala mysteries of state

Dear all,
I am trying to verify every copy of this work (ESTC R13349) to see if the catalogue that it contains (sig. Aa3r) has the same hand-written correction to the entry for 'Steps of ascension'. I am not able to visit every library in person. If you have a copy in your library/access to a copy in your library would you be able to check this for me, to confirm the correction? The catalogue is called 'Books printed for M.M. G. Bedel, and T. Collins' as is bound either at the beginning, or end of the work.
A second copy of the catalogue was included in the next edition, published as Cabala sive scrinia (ESTC R21971). It also has the hand-written correction, and is most often found at the very end of the book, but is sometimes bound between parts 1 and 2.
The 2 books in question were published in 1653 and 1654 respectively. The ESTC references provide the full bibliographic details as both books have complicated imprints.
I have already verified all digital copies (EEBO, Archive.org, HathiTrust).
All/any assistance greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Renae Satterley
