The Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group (CVEG) has had a busy few months! The RBMS Controlled Vocabulary for Rare Materials Cataloging (RBMS CVRMC) was officially launched at the beginning of March, culminating a project that began in 2017. We want to thank everyone who worked on the thesaurus and participated in review for helping make this milestone happen. A new form for submitting term proposals and change suggestions will be demonstrated at our upcoming public meeting.
The last couple of months also saw public review of the work of the Prejudicial Materials Working Group. The group received excellent and helpful feedback, which they will review over the coming months before having terms go live.
Co-chairs Brenna Bychowski and Lauren Reno rotate off at the end of June. They want to thank the entire committee for four years of dedicated and thoughtful work as well as welcome incoming co-chairs Sarah Hoover and Jennifer Bradshaw.
