Hi everyone, I am not sure how many public library catalogers are on this list, but I'm posting here just in case.

Are you attending PLA 2024 in Columbus, Ohio? If so, we hope to see you at OCLC's cataloging-related programing at the conference! We'll be doing cataloging office hours, booth demos, and OCLC's Dewey Senior Editor Alex Kyrios will be presenting at a program on Friday afternoon. Here is the listing of our events:

In-Person AskQC Office Hours (Amy Kimpton Boardroom, 4th floor, Tower 402, Hilton)
Cynthia Whitacre and Kate James from OCLC's Metadata Quality team will be available to answer your cataloging questions and provide you with an overview of OCLC's cataloging resources. If you need help with cataloging topics such as adding local bibliographic data, using genre/form terms, or creating an electronic book record, we are here to help you. For Dewey-related issues, come by on Thursday to talk to Alex. These are the times for our office hours:

  *   Wednesday, April 3, 10:00 am-11:00 am
  * Thursday, April 4, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm with Dewey Editor Alex Kyrios
  *   Friday, April 5, 9:00 am-10:00 am

OCLC Booth Demos (Booth #1900)
Kate and Cynthia will be at the OCLC booth (#1900) to demo our redesigned Bibliographic Formats and Standards<https://www.oclc.org/bibformats/en/home.html> site and answer your questions at these times:

  *   Thursday, April 4, 8:30 am-2:30 pm
  *   Friday, April 5, 11:30 am-2:30 pm

Increasing Religious Equity by Reclassifying Dewey 200's (Friday, April 5, 2:15 pm-3:15 pm, GCCC B230-235)
This panel presentation features Dewey Senior Editor, Alex Kyrios, who will be discussing the alternative arrangement for the Dewey Decimal System's religion section (200's), which organizes religious subjects more equitably by chronology and geography, rather than centering on Christianity. See PLA Program Page<https://www.placonference.org/event/016e56a2-bc16-4851-a9ce-699d90a92e7c/websitePage:0bb7bace-0326-4f15-99fe-b034f033b2c5?session=0ee8aa76-2449-44f5-9d21-9747d4c7f0cf> for complete details.

We'd love to meet any public library cataloging staff in attendance, whether you have a question or not. Please stop by the office hours or the booth.

Kate
