(the whole 590 thing, remember that one?) I have another request for input
about how other libraries are recording certain information. Hey, we need

font-family:Garamond'>We have a number of books that were previously part of a
reference library in an old administration building for our institution. That
building was sold a years ago, and the books are now part of our rare book
collection. Many of them belonged to our founder, before our institution
existed. We want to record somewhere in the MARC record the fact that these
books were once housed in this old administration building, but it is not
information that we ever want or need to have display to our patrons, and
certainly not to the world at large if at some point we start submitting
records to OCLC. But we do want the information <u>somewhere</u>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

so much previous owners or collections as simply previous library location),
