What I was going to say was we will (we’re not doing this yet) use the BSR for Rare Books as a floor and code LDR/17 “I” since it’s still a full record by OCLC standards, even if it’s not a full DCRM(B) record. But now I’m seeing the confusion, if I code it LDR/17 “I” and dcrmb in the 040, and it’s only a floor, it will be assumed that it’s a full DCRM(B) record. Hmmm…Though, actually, now that I’m looking at it, the BSR for Rare Books does not require an 050, and OCLC does for it to be an “I” level, so if you actually stick to the BSR and don’t go beyond the floor, then it should be coded ‘K.’ Though, we at UCSD always give an 050, so would we code it ‘I’?
