I'm working cataloging rare books and the library will use <cite>Descriptive
Cataloging of Rare Materials (Books) (DCRM(B)</cite>).<br>
My question is:<br>
in the rule 7b9 the signatures, put superindice at numbers, for
example: [A]³ B-C² D¹ 1-8² <br>
but in the library we use CDS/ISIS and just admit ascii code only until
alt+255, and we can't to write numbers like superindice 4 or 6 or 8.<br>

We see that some libraries had use *. For example: [A]3 B-C2 D1 1-8*2<br>
<br>
Is correct to use this notation form? or, there is another way to write
the notation for signatures?<br>
