<span style="font-family:"Georgia","serif"">In library cataloging under DCRM(B), the Greek character π (pi) should only be used when recording signatures signed with that character. I assume this would also extend to not using it as
a superscript. However, this particular point is moot because π (superscript pi) is not in the unicode character set and thus unavailable for use in online cataloging. Clumsy as it is, "[superscript pi]" and "[superscript chi]" is the correct way
to render that information.

Subject: [DCRM-L] Signature special characters question

Here is the statement I have devised. The issue is the duplicated A4 at the beginning. I understand I should use superscript pi ahead of the first one but neither Aleph nor Connexion has such a character.

Is this bracketed awkwardness the best I can do and you will all

understand it? If I have misunderstood how to convey the situation,
