problem with inappropriately merged records. The appropriate
OCLC staff are looking into it. A variety of considerations are
involved, so turnaround probably won't be immediate.</div>

<div>Kathleen noted that she would like to see the exemption to
deduplication of records that have rare book codes in 040 $e
extended to 1900 or 1901. We're eager to hear opinions (with
reasoning) from as many voices as possible. Thanks to those who
