<p class="x_MsoNormal">I’m looking for guidance on terminology for printings & impressions vs editions in general, but especially for German-language books.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">If a book is designated “3. Auflage” is that the third edition or third printing? I had always thought Auflage was “edition.” What about the terms “Eindruck” and “Ausgabe” ?</p>
