<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Georgia",serif; color:#1F497D">As I said, linked data is for machine use of data, and id.loc.gov prioritizes data for machine use. It’s great (and surprising!) that LC added a hierarchical view;
 in the long run, I don’t think we want to rely on LC for more than data hosting and basic functionality.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Georgia",serif; color:#1F497D"> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Georgia",serif; color:#1F497D">So, linked data is for programs to manipulate. What I’m thinking about are ways to get that data into another program that can present it for human use. I have
 no idea what’s available or feasible; maybe nothing quite fits the bill at this time. For now, maybe something as simple as a google doc with expanded hierarchy and links to the id.loc term records is all that can be managed.

 on one to see its entry, navigated back to the page and everything was contracted again. Does anyone know of an output that would make expanded hierarchies easier to view?

 of new term proposals once our revised form is available.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Binding terms. There were several responses specifically related to available binding terms and its hierarchy. We are open to the submission
 of additional binding terms, and we also want to emphasize that the available terms are specifically for use in indexing. They are not intended to limit or curtail binding descriptions made elsewhere in a catalog record.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Subdivisions. We approved the policy to not allow subdivisions for the new thesaurus back in 2019, and we continue to support that decision.
 We understand that several institutions make heavy use of the terms that were specifically intended for subdivision, especially Typefaces. CVEG never maintained authorized subdivisions for any of those terms, so there was no standardization or control coming
 from RBMS. Any control of subdivisions happening within a given institution is being done by that institution, and that work can continue going forward, using $2 local instead of an RBMS code.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Hierarchical view. Nate Trail and the Library of Congress Linked Data Service has designed a hierarchical browse/view located on the landing
