<p class="MsoNormal">There is RDA 3.4.5.6 Incomplete Volume, which says to do the following if the manifestation in hand is incomplete: xxiv, 179 pages (incomplete)<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">That doesn’t exactly cover the situation where you’re not sure whether it’s incomplete or not, but I think you could handle that in a 500 note in conjunction with adding (incomplete) to the 300.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p><span style="font-family:Aptos;color:black">We’re creating an original record for a cookbook. The copy is a spiral-bound volume with considerable damage. The back cover is missing and several of the leaves at the end are partly torn from the spiral binding.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p><span style="font-family:Aptos;color:black">The last leaf in this copy has a verso with page number 248 and is a section for the reader to add handwritten notes. It’s not clear if this is actually the last leave of the original publication or if other leaves
with numbered pages are missing from the copy in hand.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
