<p class="MsoNormal"><b>OCLC information for NACO contributors during the Library of Congress’s migration to FOLIO</b> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Following the notice below from the Library of Congress, we’d like to assure the OCLC community that workflow adjustments are not required while the Library of Congress completes the first phases of their migration to the FOLIO system (through
July 3, 2025). Users can continue to create and edit authority records, and OCLC will send those to the Library of Congress. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">OCLC has been working closely with the Library of Congress to support their migration. We will provide additional information about the measures OCLC users need to take no later than
<b>July 15, 2025</b>. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A reminder and update email regarding the timeline and impacts of the NACO transition. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Our current dates are: <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">June 28-30. 2025: freeze of all bibliographic and authority work in Voyager at the Library of Congress. The changeover to Folio will happen at this time for all bibliographic work.
<b><i>This is about to happen.</i></b> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">June 28-July 3, 2025: freeze of authority work in Voyager at the Library of Congress.<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">NOTE: Authority work at the NACO nodes should continue uninterrupted. LC will load the files when we restart our authority work on July 3rd. After this, Voyager will remain available through July
<b><i>solely for authority work</i></b><i>. </i>NACO distribution will continue without interruption during July. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">August 2025, <i>potentially stopping submissions on July 29</i>: all authority work for LC and all NACO nodes will freeze. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>NEW: </b>August 2025, <i>potentially August 12th</i>: select NACO institutions will resume processing as normal, in order to run actual processing of files with small numbers. This is the final testing of the processes to make sure everything
works correctly. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">August 2025, <i>potentially August 19th</i>: resume processing of NACO files at LC and all nodes as normal. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">NOTE: <b><i>These dates are still somewhat tentative</i></b><i>.</i> <o:p></o:p></p>
