Recommendation (0C1, 0C3):

I do not see much reason under rare principles for the differences between
the two codes (except possibly 1F), and in many ways the AACR2 language is
superior. The language should be realigned.

Recommendation (0C2):

DCRB's changes from AACR2 do not for the most part have any rare book
principles behind them, and in fact are less comprehensive than AACR2. They
should be reworded to reflect AACR2 1.0H1 (or perhaps the DCRB cataloger
should be simply referred to AACR2 1.0H1), with the addition of how to deal
with the situation of the engraved title page, and the provision for notes.
The language of the note provision needs to be clarified.
