I (somewhat belatedly) agree with Richard's enthusiasm for the revision as well as his "however" and suggest: Signed in Greek characters, or Signed in Greek letters. Similarly, instead of: Make a note to indicate the script used on the gatherings, perhaps: Make a note to indicate the alphabet used in signing.
Also, I've never run into a signing alphabet that didn't distinguish case. It might help to give an example: If the alphabet is one that does not employ case, such as Old Outlandish...
