[DCRM-L] Why the DCRM(B) draft isn't more polished

Dear proofreaders and others,

It has been pointed out to me that the numerous formatting errors might be taken to be the fault of the Keeper of the Text. They are not. They are my fault, and I do apologize for the extra work it is causing everyone.

A brief explanation: in formatting the text, we have been using MSWord styles instead of formatting the paragraphs and characters directly. However, over time, duplicate styles with different names had proliferated; the styles needed deduping and simplifying. I undertook to do so when I took control of the text on September 3, but in the process, introduced a number of formatting errors into the very polished text Manon had given me. It was a calculated risk on my part, and I thank all of you for your diligence in careful proofreading.

D.
