Laura,

We are a SIRSI library also. We have been told that the public display
in SIRSI will display superscripts and all diacritics when we load the
version with Unicode, which we haven't done yet. It is an irritant that
superscripts don't display in the web version (they do in the staff
version, by the way-so we help patrons who need to see the signature
statement using that version); many diacritics also don't display (dots
above and below the line, macron, etc.). We're patiently waiting for the
glorious day of Unicode :-) Meanwhile, I wouldn't change all my
superscripts to bracketed statements-you'll have to change them all back
once the display is corrected. Or at least I would want to. If you need
more information about the way the Sirsi Unicorn system works I'd be
happy to correspond with you off the list.

Hello DCRM(B) list,

I took Deborah Leslie's Rare Book Cataloging class at RBS a few weeks
ago- we touched briefly upon the following topic and unfortunately I
lost my notes. So, I would be so happy to get some guidance.

Our OPAC seems to be unable to display superscripts. I would like to
include a note on signatures when appropriate. Has anyone figured out a
way to display superscripts in SIRSI? If not, what is the
accepted/standard alternative way of denoting superscripts?
