[DCRM-L] Term for binding: "Fabricoid"

One of my catalogers has noticed the description "fabricoid" turning up
in dealer's descriptions of bindings.  A quick Google search on my part
only popped up more dealer descriptions.  Anyone know what type of
material this term refers to?  We suspect it means either "cloth" or
what we used to call "buckram".
