[DCRM-L] searching for descriptive signature term

Hello there,
I have a book in which the first prelim. gathering is signed with 3
stars/asterisks in a triangular form.
How would this be described/recorded in a signature statement? Does this
form have a specific descriptive term?
I figured using *** followed by the superscript number would be somehow
inaccurate or misrepresentative.

Any help would be appreciated.
