Laurence Creider: "Why do we keep this when many systems can provide
work arounds through limitations?"

The problem is that date limitation in searching has to do with the
publication date, not the fact that the work was written before 1800.
It's no good for modern editions. That's the most useful thing about
this particular genre subdivision or genre heading, whichever.
