Dear DCRM-L List Members,

Jennifer MacDonald and I are going to be presenting a Preconference
workshop this summer (2010) titled "Latin for Rare Materials
Catalogers." We would like this workshop to be as useful as possible to
the participants, meaning that, ideally, the examples we present during
the course of the class will be drawn from "real-life" situations that
pose particular challenges to a rare materials cataloger.

We are hereby putting out a call to this list for Latin title pages (and
other prescribed sources of information where appropriate) that you have
found particularly flummoxing - or particularly interesting - so we can
use them as examples in our workshop. Since this workshop will encompass
not just books, but also maps, graphics, music, etc. (with Latin title,
creator and publication information), we would welcome any examples you
would like to send us. Simply capture a digital image of the resource in
question and email it to jnelson at law.berkeley.edu and include the
subject heading "Latin Workshop Example"; please also include any
particular questions about the item, if you have any. Please send us
your examples by Friday, March 5th, 2010.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Jennifer (Nelson) and Jennifer (MacDonald)
