[DCRM-L] Cataloging hollow books?

(Please excuse cross-postings.)

I've encountered a wonderful little hollow book in our copy of the second volume of Les institutes de l'empereur Justinian (Lyon: 1717). It's hollow after p. 22 and has 18th century marbled papers lining the cut out text block and has the French royal coat of arms on the front and back covers. I'm trying to decide how best to catalog it. I could not locate an applicable RBMS controlled vocabulary term. Is "hollow" book the appropriate terminology? Any cataloging suggestions or examples to pass along?
Thank you in advance,
Kim
