[DCRM-L] MARC holdings question on call number type

I hope you don't mind if I try for some collective wisdom to solve a dilemma here. At the University of Manchester we will be implementing Ex Libris Alma in the summer. Our current system is Talis, which most of you won't have heard of as UK based - it is pretty basic and there are a lot of decisions to be made on how we can successfully migrate our data. We will be using MARC holdings in Alma for the first time and I need to work out what to do with Special Collections call numbers. The library default is Dewey, but of course in Special Collections we have a variety of shelving schemes all currently lumped together in the Talis classification suffix field. Getting them out may not be easy!

My question is where to put them - I believe that there might be three options?

852 $h with no indicators
852 $h with first indicator 8 for 'Other scheme'
852 $j with first indicator 4 for 'Shelving control number'

Have I missed any?

Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks, Julianne
