Richard, this confirms my and my rare book team’s desire to clutch onto our Institution Records with every ounce of strength in our cold repetitive-stress damaged hands.

(I was going to say “cold dead” but we’re not *quite* dead yet…)

FYI -- It appears that the 300 field was entirely ignored.

Would this be the result of an ill-informed and equally ill-vetted request, or is there some automatic merge going on that would do this? In many cases our catalogers have added "[prospectus]" as other title information, which was probably a good idea, whether orthodox or not.

I've reported three equally bad merges in the past week or two. ... and I haven't been looking for them. This was Nancy Holloway's original (b20062710).
