ALCTS (Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, an ALA division) is hosting a webinar on May 28 with Cory Nimer titled, "Using RDA with DACS -- What's New."

This is an update of the 2012 webinar about using RDA with Describing Archives: A Content Standard (DACS).  It will provide an overview of RDA provisions related to archival collections, including both bibliographic and authority records. It will also explore the connections between RDA and DACS, and their potential application as supplementary standards. Things have changed since 2012; come see (and hear) what's new! Cory Nimer is a manuscripts cataloger and metadata specialist at Brigham Young University. He is responsible for cataloging archival materials and he has served as co-chair of the Standards Committee for the Society of American Archivists.

The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library will close for a major renovation in May 2015, reopening in August 2016.
