[DCRM-L] New Terms for RBMS Controlled Vocabularies

Jane, could you please also share the links to the relevant wiki pages at http://rbmsthesauri.pbworks.com/ so that we can see the source documentation, and previous discussions? It would be helpful to see the OED definitions, LCSH scope notes, warrant, etc. as well as comments that were made by committee members.

Even better, could we comment in the wiki rather than by sending private email? That way we could see if any concerns we might have happen to have already been brought up, and revealed as non-issues.

Thanks,

Erin.

Nice work everyone! I do have one comment:

I find "damaged printing plates" to be confusing. It sounds like you would use the term/phrase for actual printing plates not the resulting printing from them.

Dear Colleagues,

The terms listed below-6 vocabulary terms and 1 relationship designator-were proposed by members of the rare materials community, and discussed at the Midwinter meeting of the Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group.

The editors are now soliciting comments on the draft scope notes they prepared, in order to capitalize on the expertise and experience of librarians and bibliophiles who may be familiar with these terms.

PLEASE SEND ALL COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS FOR EDITS OR REVISIONS TO THE CV EDITORIAL GROUP AT: jfcarpenter at library.ucla.edu<mailto:jfcarpenter at library.ucla.edu>
