Hello all,

The second example in DCRM(B) 5D1.3 gives the format as (4to and 8vo), for “a publication consisting of a mixture of quarto and octavo sheets.”

I am wondering if the order of formats is always given from smallest to largest, or if the predominant format should come first.

The book in question is G.J.G.E., ou, Chevalier Kados. A Paris : Chez le Frere vérité, au grand-globe Franç̧ois, MDCCLXXXI [1781], and is signed A¹⁰ B-C¹² D⁸; A-C are 12mo and D is 8vo.

Best,
Honor
