Off topic: I'm jet-lagged, so my eyes aren't working quite right, and I could have sworn Nina's signature explained that the Clark is closed for "a semiotic retrofit."

It took a little digging, but it appears C & C is Cameron and Carroll:
Short title catalogue of books printed in the British Isles, the British colonies, and the United States of America, and of English books printed elsewhere, 1701-1800, held in the libraries of the Australian Capital Territory / edited by William J. Cameron and Diana J. Carroll.

Colleagues,
I am cataloging Joseph Ritson's Observations on the three first volumes of the History of English poetry, in a familiar letter to the author. London: J. Stockdale and R. Faulder, 1782. I found a master record in OCLC that I would like to use and it has a bibliographic citation of C&C 6659. The original cataloging agency is Australian, but many other libraries have their holdings attached.
Any ideas as to what C&C might be referring? I asked a knowledgeable colleague, searched the online and print versions of RBMS SCF, and tried to find it with a google search. It's not in the STC abbreviations. There may be more references I could check, but our current construction activities prevent me from investigation further.
Thanks in advance for any clues.
Nina
