[DCRM-L] Signature question

Looks like someone made a major casting-off error. (-: I was thinking along the same lines as Margaret, but would probably condense the anomalous signings.

a-b⁴ C² A-4B⁴ 4C/4D⁴ 4E/4F/4G⁴ 4H-5I⁴ 5K²

And add a note to the effect that those two gatherings are signed with multiple symbols.

Hi, Jessie,

I haven't seen a case like this one before, but will take a stab at it anyway, in the hope that it will spur more expert people than myself to respond. I wonder whether you could give the formula in this form:

a-b⁴ C² A-4B⁴ CCCC/DDDD⁴ EEEE/FFFF/GGGG⁴ 4H-5I⁴ 5K²

This might make it clearer that CCCC/DDDD and EEEE/FFFF/GGGG are each a single gathering.

Best,
Margaret

Subject: [DCRM-L] Signature question

Dear collective wisdom,

In cleaning up some of our records, I've come across the following signature statement: a-b⁴ C² A-4B⁴ CCCC DDDD⁴ EEEE FFFF GGGG⁴ 4H-5I⁴ 5K².
"CCCC DDDD" and "EEEE FFFF GGGG" each designate a single gathering."
Full record here<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/eolAC5ywNMCwKwlUzhuz4?domain=lawcat.berkeley.edu>
The online version at gathering 4E 4F 4G is here<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/PgAKC68xOMtZ9ZWi63U0h?domain=reader.digitale-sammlungen.de>
<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/PgAKC68xOMtZ9ZWi63U0h?domain=reader.digitale-sammlungen.de>

Is there a better way of describing this?

Thank-you,
Jessie
