I know you are getting tons of emails.  I know, in a way, it makes it hard/emotional for you to take this step.  We'll keep in touch, but know that you are so well-respected and so admired for all that you have done and, most importantly, for all that you are.

Dear friends,

I mentioned this at the RBMS Bibliographic Standards Committee meeting last week, but wanted to let you know that I'm retiring this month, with my last day being June 28th.

I have been so grateful for this list and everything I've learned from all of you. Thanks so much for that and for your admirable, phenomenal, and indispensable work in rare materials description!
