[DCRM-L] OCLC Service Notice: Authority Record Updates Temporarily Unavailable

Hi, all,

We are currently experiencing a temporary disruption to our controlled heading updating service. Users may notice that changes made to authorized headings in authority records are not automatically reflected in linked bibliographic records at this time.

What's happening:
Our updating service has been temporarily disabled while we process a large-scale reload of 12 million authority records. To ensure system efficiency, we are working to identify and prioritize only those records that require updates to controlled headings, rather than processing the entire dataset.

Impact:

  *   Changes to authority records will not automatically update linked bibliographic records
  *   Exported bibliographic records may contain outdated heading information
  *   Manual verification of headings may be necessary for critical records

Current status:
Our technical team is actively working on this issue. We do not have a definitive timeline for resolution at this time, but we will provide updates as they become available.
