[DCRM-L] Adding/replacing NARS: "Action blocked" message

Posting this message on behalf of my OCLC colleague. It is being distributed to many email lists today. Please pardon any duplication.

Given multiple questions to various listservs over the past two days, we hope this message serves as a helpful reminder of the ongoing Library of Congress FOLIO migration impacts that were detailed in our July listserv postings.

Current Status - Authority Work Suspension
As previously announced, the Library of Congress has entered the critical phase of their FOLIO migration, requiring a complete freeze of all authority work and disabling of NACO nodes.

CURRENT IMPACT ON OCLC APPLICATIONS (current through August 19)
Connexion and WorldShare Record Manager: New or edited authority records cannot be submitted during this period
Cutoff Confirmation: As of July 30, 2025, all authority records contributed through the cutoff time have been successfully sent to and received from the Library of Congress

Important Technical Note
Following OCLC's loading of the updated Name Authority File (LCNAF) at the conclusion of this project phase, the 005 field value will reflect the date an authority record was loaded into FOLIO, rather than previous dating conventions.

Expected Resolution
Standard NACO activity in OCLC applications is anticipated to resume no later than August 19. We will provide updates and timeline confirmation as we approach this target date.
