Hi everyone,

We are currently in the process of developing a procedure aimed at managing
backlogs and enhancing the organization of recently acquired special
collections materials that will not be processed immediately.

Specifically, we are working on establishing a procedure for preliminary
bibliographic records that will include format information and processing
status. The goal is to improve both the physical and intellectual control
over these valuable resources before they are fully catalogued.

We are reaching out to inquire if any of your libraries have a similar
process in place. Any insights, examples, or experiences you could share
would be immensely valuable to us as we refine our own procedure.

Thank you,
Daniela
