2: Agree, also similar portions of other sections

3; Retail note for data from elsewhere

4; Areas/elements -- not sure what is at issue here -- yes, reflect MARC,
but are we saying that contents of areas/elements should be though of in
terms of MARC fields, which is what in fact happens when cataloging (as I
do) dirctly in MARC rather than producing a worksheet of "cataloging
areas/elements"  which is later "made MARC" by someone else.

In other words, at this point in DCRB I'm not sure that the issue is really
"cards vs. MARC" but rather "what are those areas/elements which need to be
delimited concerning item(s) in order to provide cataloging data, whether
the output form is cards, microform, online cat. in SGML or MARC, etc.
