[DCRM-L] Cataloging 18th-century colonial document - "f" in place of "s"

>From someone who spent 5 years studying in Tuebingen & Stuttgart, Germany, this problem looks suspiciously (spelled with "s"!) like the problem with the German "s" and "s-zet" in early German Gothic letter printing.

There too one can distinguish the "s" from the "f" by certain typographical markings.
