The book about Lajos (Louis) Kossuth is very interesting, since from 1945 to 1949 (when I was still very, very young), our family lived in Kossuth County in northern Iowa (north of Algona, just south of the Minnesota border). The county was formed around 1852, and I suspect that its naming had something to do with his American trip at the time, and the excitement which it generated.

Thank you for helping to make a gray afternoon a little brighter for me, at least in memory.
