[DCRM-L] books with gatherings in different formats

I have a couple 18th century French pamphlets (2-3 gatherings) in
which one gathering is 8vo and the other(s) 12mo.  For example, the
signatures are A-B12 C8 and the chain lines are horizontal in
gatherings A-B and vertical in gathering C.  Is it acceptable to give
"12mo and 8vo" as the format in 300 $c or is it better to just pick
one?  I'd make a note either way.
