Colleagues,

The newly formed Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group has been working hard on terms, as well as establishing a mechanism for gathering focused community feedback. We are happy to be able to share our new blog: RBMS Controlled Vocabularies Community Discussion: http://rbms.info/cv-comments/. Click on each term's entry to see full information. You may comment at the bottom of each page. All are welcome to comment; you do not need to be added to the blog beforehand, as was the case with our wiki. Note that you will need to enter a name and an e-mail address in order to submit a comment. Non-pseudonymous comments are strongly encouraged. Note, too, that you may subscribe to discussion threads for particular terms.

Currently posted are 7 terms that the editorial group discussed at Midwinter. We invite you to have a look at these terms, and share your thoughts in the comments. The period for comments is now through March 16th. Moving forward, comment periods will be 2 weeks in length, but since these terms have already been shared, and some feedback has been received, the current period is shorter.

Many thanks to the Web Team for putting the blog together so quickly.

Thanks,
Ryan
