[DCRM-L] Discontinuation of OCLC's institutional records program

Hi,

I am not finding the option Allison describes to publicly view IR data in Worldcat.

In the LBDs, I wonder why OCLC has chosen to implement only 500 and 501, and not all of the other more precisely defined 5xxs for custodial history, binding, etc. I know these aren’t widely used but it would seem that this prevents their use for copy-specific data, which is unfortunate as I tend to think more precise MARC tagging would facilitate mapping into BIBFRAME or whatever comes next. 

Is there any indication that the 6xx/7xx fields in LBD records will be controllable?
