[DCRM-L] Fore-edge decoration description

Many thanks to everyone who responded to this query. I've decided to keep
things simple and go with "edges decorated with alternating red and green
stripes." Maybe Deborah's dream of linked copy-specific images will someday
be a reality...

As for the color choice, I suspect it mainly had to do with the colors of
the illustrations contained in the text. It is an herbal, with
approximately 400 woodcuts, all hand colored. The Bancroft copy is very
similar to this copy, if anyone wants to feast their eyes on it:
http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/~db/0008/bsb00082640/images/ (note that
this copy includes a lengthy manuscript index at the beginning; the text
starts at image 39, the frontispiece is image 38 -- sadly wanting from
Bancroft's copy...)
