As long as you state what was measured and what units were used, pretty much anything is legitimate in DCRM(G), and I think what you've got is fine: a concise statement in the 300, with details provided in a note.
But if you're looking for a model to follow, and want to go all-out in your 300, I'd suggest the example in DCRM(G) 5D3.4 as a starting point:
3 prints forming 1 picture : etching ; full image 276 x 1105 mm, plate marks 279 x 384 mm and 281 x 368 mm or smaller
EB.

Hi everyone!
Just a small question to make sure what I am doing is legit :)
I am cataloging an engraving. To create the work, three plates, positioned side by side along a horizontal axis, were used.
Normally, for an engraving, I would give the dimensions of the plate mark. Only, in this case, I feel it would be misrepresentative to record “plate mark 30 x 70 cm”, as if the artist used only one printing element.
I also thought about recording the smd as “3 prints on 1 sheet”, but clearly the artist conceived the whole as one integrated work of art.
Therefore, I opted for the following solution: record the image dimensions in 300$c and then, write a general note to give the plate marks measurements:
300 $a1 estampe :$beau-forte, collagraphie, manière noire et pointe-sèche, couleur, sur papier vélin blanc ivoire ;$cimage 30 x 70 cm, sur feuille 54 x 89 cm
($a1 print :$aetching, collagraphy, mezzotint and drypoint, color, on off-white wove paper ;$cimage 30 x 70 cm, on sheet 54 x 89 cm)
500 $aImpression à partir de 3 plaques. Les marques de planche mesurent 30 x 23 cm chacune
[$aPrinted from 3 metal plates. Each plate mark measures 30 x 23 cm]
Is this what you would have done?
Many thanks in advance :)
