[DCRM-L] Capitalization in DCRM(b)

I am cataloging a record that is already coded DCRM(b), so I want to make sure I am not destroying good transcription. It is OCLC #33669744 for a 16th-century German medical book. Please do not do any editing on the record today since I'm still working on it.

Here's a page to get a digitized image of the title page:

http://dfg-viewer.de/show/?tx_dlf%5Bpage%5D=3&tx_dlf%5Bid%5D=http%3A%2F%2Fdigitale.bibliothek.uni-halle.de%2Foai%2F%3Fverb%3DGetRecord%26metadataPrefix%3Dmets%26identifier%3D994502&tx_dlf%5Bdouble%5D=0&cHash=6166e1cfe3ec01a312f7d582af8da0a8

(I'm not sure why that URL is so long. It doesn't appear to be so at the top of the page.)

If you look at the bib record, you will notice that the cataloger capitalized words as they are capitalized on the title page. So "Jnner" and "Wie" are capitalized, though I don't think that fits modern capitalization norms. Looking at DCRM(b), I see rule 0G2 says to follow rules for capitalization in AACR2 Appendix A, so that made me think we are still using AACR2 rules for capitalization. AACR2 1.1B1 says "Transcribe the title exactly as to wording, order, and spelling, but not necessarily as to punctuation and capitalization."

For German, I would think that would mean capitalizing nouns but not words like "Jnner" or "Wie" within a sentence. Am I right about that?

Thanks,
