[DCRM-L] Technical Services Discussion Group meeting time

Hello, all--


Technical Services Discussion Group will not be able to meet on Sunday, 10:30-11:30 at Midwinter 2019 because ALA has adjusted its meeting times.


Whitney and I know that our time during ALA meetings is precious, and that we're often juggling multiple commitments. Therefore, we wanted to bring this to you to see if you had any thoughts on the matter before we requested a specific time slot. We cannot guarantee that we'll request your preferred slot; additionally, we cannot guarantee that ALA will grant us the slot we request! However, we wanted to let you know what was going on as we move forward.


Currently, Whitney and I are planning to ask for either the Sunday, 9:00-10:00 or Sunday, 2:30-3:30 meeting slot. If you have any comments, please respond, either onlist or offlist (atims at mwa.org<mailto:atims at mwa.org>), by Wednesday, Sept. 5, 12:00 pm EST.


In listing potential meeting slots, we looked at available slots on Saturday and Sunday and rejected any that conflicted with the Bibliographic Standards Committee or the Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group usual meeting times. Additionally, we rejected the last meeting slot on Sunday as to not conflict with Information Exchange. The full list, with conflicts, is below, as is a list of meetings with meeting times unknown to me.

ALA Midwinter is January 25-29, 2019, so you'll have to go to those dates to see.
