[DCRM-L] Draft guidelines for merging rare materials in OCLC

The task group looking at OCLC's Guidelines for merging duplicate book records seeks input on its draft revision, which will be discussed at the Bibliographic Standards Committee virtual meeting on August 28. Please comment in the Google doc by August 23.

Please note that these guidelines are specific to books and it is not appropriate to cover other formats in this document. We seek input on whether this group, or an augmented version of it, should write similar guidelines for other formats for which a DCRM module exists. Also note that the group met with OCLC's Jay Weitz early in the process, and he welcomes our input here, and for other formats, should we choose to provide it.
