Good afternoon,
The Web Resources for the Rare Material Cataloger Editorial Group is
pleased to announce the launch of the redesigned *Web Resources for the
Rare Materials Cataloger* online resource.
The *Web Resources for the Rare Materials Cataloger* directory aims to
gather together freely-available online resources to aid in the cataloging
of rare and special collections materials. This valuable resource has been
diligently maintained for over twenty years by Laurence Creider, Professor
Emeritus and former Department Head of Archives and Special Collections at
the New Mexico State University Library, under the sponsorship of the RBMS
Bibliographic Standards Committee and with the technological support of the
New Mexico State University Library. In 2018, the Bibliographic Standards
Committee formed the Web Resources for the Rare Materials Cataloger
Editorial Group to migrate the resource to the RMBS website and assume the
ongoing maintenance of the resource.
*Web Resources for the Rare Materials Cataloger* can now be found at its
new home: http://rbms.info/cat-resources/ . Though a url redirect has been
put in place, please update your browser's bookmark to reflect the new
address.
The redesigned site remains a work in progress and the Web Resources for
the Rare Materials Cataloger Editorial Group will continue to improve and
maintain it going forward. Feedback is always appreciated. Please use the
contact form to share any thoughts or suggestions on how we could improve
the site or new resources to be added:

On behalf of the Editorial Group,
Matt Ducmanas
