[DCRM-L] EEBO copy of Wing W3057A: Harvard, or BL?

Thanks, John! I gave up too quickly in the BL catalogue, and figured the best I could do was the holdings detail in ESTC ("Shelfmk: [Shelfmark not available]. Copynote:[CM]."

Now that I've got back to the BL online catalogue, I see that they have (at least?) three copies. The copy you described appears in two bibliographic records (http://explore.bl.uk/BLVU1:LSCOP-ALL:BLL01003952955 being the most complete). In addition, there are two records for the same incomplete copy with 10 plates, and a bib record with no holding information.

I'll "Report Catalogue error" on the duplicates -- I assume the BL is catching up on database maintenance while everyone's home, same as we are.

EB.

The BL catalogue record (copied below) says their copy has 3 engraved dedication plates and lacks plate 16, so it would seem that the copy reproduced by EEBO is in fact the Harvard copy. No call number or other marking visible in the reproduction, unfortunately.

Dear Erin,

Not an answer, I'm afraid: just notification that here in Britain we're in lockdown as well. My colleagues in the BL won't be able to go in to check their copy. London is ahead of the rest of the country as regards cases of coronavirus, and librarians aren't considered to be key workers.

Best wishes,
Karen

Subject: [DCRM-L] EEBO copy of Wing W3057A: Harvard, or BL?

Hello! The old EEBO interface (the yellow one) says "Copy from: British Library" on the durable link page for Wing W3057A (http://gateway.proquest.com/openurl?ctx_ver=Z39.88-2003&res_id=xri:eebo&rft_id=xri:eebo:image:106175<http://gateway.proquest.com/openurl?ctx_ver=Z39.88-2003&res_id=xri:eebo&rft_id=xri:eebo:image:106175>) but the new interface (teal green) says "Reproduction of original in the Harvard University Library" (https://search.proquest.com/docview/2240876494/17197334<https://search.proquest.com/docview/2240876494/17197334>)

Several other places in the metadata (and in ESTC) say it's the Harvard copy, not the BL, but I need to be certain (I'm working with a scholar who is making a catalogue raisonné of the artist).

Unfortunately, we're under a stay-at-home order in DC, so I can't go look at the microfilm, which includes the 'tombstone' label and ruler identifying the institution as the first shot for each title [insert rant about key information being silently dropped in scanned copies here].

Long story short: does anyone know for-sure which copy is in EEBO?

Additional information: ESTC and EEBO assume the dedication page is the title page, but the actual title page (usually lacking) is a plate with "THE ROYALL PALLACE OF AUDLEYEND" etched in banderoles.

Thanks,

Erin.
