Hi all:

"MARC needs to go. People have known that for twenty years".

I am involved in a search committee for candidates for head of metadata at
my university.
I love MARC. What I have been of Bibframe (lack of controlled vocab), I am
not terribly fond of.

Apparently LC is going to abandon MARC in October or November of next year.
How are cataloguers who use DCRM standards planning on dealing with this?
Is RBMS planning for this almost looking change?
And what are some resources which are available to us DCRM cataloguers ?

How do you feel about this impending change?

Thanks for your replies.
Allison
