[DCRM-L] September 2023 OCLC Virtual AskQC Office Hours: You are invited

Hello everyone,

I am sharing this message about OCLC's September AskQC office hours, which is a free virtual event. I am the presenter for this session, but I've mentioned myself in the third person below because it's easier to reshare the message that way. Please share with any of your colleagues whom you think would be interested.

Kate James will be presenting Get Informed about Genre/Form Terms at our September OCLC AskQC Office Hours.  She will discuss using field 655 to record genre/form terms and cover the difference between subject and genre/form, how to specify the source of the term, and the benefits of recording genre/form information in field 655. There will be examples from commonly used genre/form thesauri including LCGFT and AAT. This session is provided in response to user feedback from previous VAOH sessions.

Times/Dates: September 12 at 10 am (Eastern time) and September 21 at 4 PM (Eastern time).  The same content will be offered twice for the convenience of those in various time zones.
