[DCRM-L] Position Announcement: Manager for Bibliographic Description, Harry Ransom Center

Dear colleagues,

The Ransom Center seeks a special collections librarian to provide bibliographic description leadership within a newly formed Meatadata and Discovery Unit. We are looking for a seasoned cataloger interested in assuming a leadership role to ensure efficient, accurate and effective cataloging of rare books and special formats.

This position will divide its time between performing original cataloging, providing quality control/catalog maintenance and developing policies. It does supervise one Library Assistant III. The ideal candidate is someone excited about continuous professional development and eager to stay informed of evolving cataloging trends, and changes in best practices and standards. The salary is $60,000 with generous professional development support.
