Dear Colleagues,
I hope this finds everyone well.
In light of the RBMS Bibliographic Standards Committee's statement on RDA
neutrality and the Guidelines for Use of Descriptive Cataloging of Rare
Materials (RDA Edition) (DCRMR), I would like to know how rare books
library managers are adapting their online catalogs to these guidelines.
I understand that the DCRMR is aligned with the Official RDA Toolkit
developed as part of the 3R Project and should not be used with earlier
versions of the RDA Toolkit. Therefore, I would like to hear experiences
and recommendations on which version of RDA is most appropriate for those
already using or planning to use DCRMR in their libraries.
Any guidance on integrating these standards into catalogs would be a great
help to our practices.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and cooperation.
Sincerely,
--
